More resources …

There are many resources available for getting a deeper understanding of the Convention. Some of the major and, hopefully, most beneficial sources are:

UNESCO training materials

The training set represent the core of UNESCO capacity-building strategy.

It is set of pedagogic materials  developed by internationally recognized experts in the field of intangible cultural heritage. Initially elaborated in English, translations are available in French, Spanish, Arabic, Russian and Portuguese. We regularly improve and update the materials to reflect, for instance, the last decisions of the Committee.

Key themes
Implementing the Convention at the national level
Ratification
Community-based inventorying
Preparing nominations to the Lists of the Convention
Gender and intangible cultural heritage

The Media Kit

The kit gives you  basic and well compressed information on what’s up at the coming session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage.

The information includes: key concepts of intangible cultural heritage and the Convention, facts and figures, frequent questions and answers, proposed elements (summaries, evaluations and contacts for interviews) for the year in question. The Media kit is published annually by the ICH secretariat of UNESCO.
